Microsoft Word 2010 not responding

I cannot access any files on Microsoft Word 2010, they keep becoming unresponsive. Trying to find add-ons or ins!!! doesn't work in safe mode as it becomes unresponsive.

Is this Word as part of an MS Office suite or is it Word in Office Starter as in one of your earlier posts?

Does Word itself open (not any doc)?
