Making a CD Booklet in Word 2010

I am battling to make a booklet to fit a CD cover. Ideally I should be able to create some text in an A4 landscape document and then use the "book fold" option to print. (I'm using a Canon iP2700 to print.) But I can't get it to work. Portrait is ok but gives the wrong width - too narrow. I want to produce a 12 pager. Ideas? Robin.
Word's "book fold" option is capable of printing only two portrait pages on a landscape sheet. Is that what you have set up? So you'll start with two portrait A5 on your A4 sheet. Set the text area to the size that will fit in the CD case, with the center gutter the size you want for the finished booklet and allowing for the desired margins. After printing, you will have to trim the pages (a trifle on the sides, a lot at the bottom, assuming you've laid out the document at the top of the page).
