How to insert automatic text on page break

I have a document with one set header that is used that has the document name and number.

The document is then divided into sections with a title at the top of the page for that section - like STATEMENTS.

I was wondering if there was a way that as I type up my STATEMENTS section, when the text breaks to a new page, the text STATEMENTS CONTINUED could be automatically added as the first line of the page and the text I'm typing continues below that automatically added text.

Thanks for any help

If you have enabled "Different First Page" for the headers and footers in your document, then you will have a First Page Header and a primary Header for each section. In the primary Header, you can insert a StyleRef field referencing the style used for your STATEMENTS heading, followed by "CONTINUED."

For more information on the StyleRef field, see this Help article. For further details, see http://WordFAQs.mvps.org/StyleRef.htm.

Thank you for the reply, but unless I'm not understanding the StyleRef field, it's not what I'm looking for. Heres some clarification.

Example of how the base document looks. The header and footers are the same for every page.

**Page 1

           Report # 12345
-----------------------------------------------
STATEMENTS  <---- "1st line of body text"

"Page Break"

------------------------------------------------
Author Name            Page #

**Page 2

           Report # 12345
-----------------------------------------------
CALCULATIONS  <---- "1st line of body text"

"Page Break"

------------------------------------------------
Author Name            Page #

Now when I type text into the first section STATEMENTS and go onto the next page, I want STATEMENTS CONTINUED inserted into the body text at the first line of the new page, example:

**Page 1

           Report # 12345
-----------------------------------------------
STATEMENTS  <---- "1st line of body text"

text text text text text text text
text text text text text text text
------------------------------------------------
Author Name            Page #

**Page 2

           Report # 12345
-----------------------------------------------
STATEMENTS CONTINUED  <---- "1st line of body text"

text text text text text text text
text text text text text text text
text text text text text text text

"Page Break"

------------------------------------------------
Author Name            Page #

**Page 3

           Report # 12345
-----------------------------------------------
CALCULATIONS  <---- "1st line of body text"

"Page Break"

------------------------------------------------
Author Name            Page #

I figured this was probably an odd request and wasn't sure if it was even possible.

What I'm suggesting is that the way to repeat text on every page automatically is to put it in the header. I'm therefore suggesting that, instead of having the continued heading as the first line of document text, you have it as the last line of the page header. You can adjust the header and top margins and the spacing of text in the header to get the appearance you want.
