Dear OneDrive users, We have been made aware of an issue concerning shared folders on OneDrive, where certain shared folders are displayed as .URL Internet shortcuts rather than actual folders within the "File Explorer". This has resulted in users being unable to browse the contents of these folders and instead are provided with a link to the OneDrive website. Impacted users:Users globally have reported this issue, where shared folders appear as link files (.URL) in File Explorer and not as actual folders, preventing normal browsing of folder contents. I searched for information and found that Microsoft's official documentation states'Some customers who have rights to more recent versions of Office LTSC suites might want to continue using prior versions of those suites. This is permitted for Office LTSC under desktop application licenses and is known as a “downgrade right.” Customers may downgrade to earlier versions of the Office software products, but only to the same edition of software product for which their device is licensed. That is, a customer may not downgrade from Office LTSC Standard 2024 to Office Professional Plus 2019.... ', w

I checked a similar issue that was posted Nov 10, 2022 but the thread was already locked. The intention is the members of the group can view the content of the SharePoint online site but cannot download any contents. The site owner created a group and grant a permission level of Restricted View. When the owner or admin defined a user to the group and an email prompt was send to this user, the user is prompted "Access Denied". We waited for atleast 10minutes just incase there is a propagation needed but still the same error. We did performed "Check Permission" and showed that the user was indirec

Onedrive has become completely read-only for me after applying the most recent Windows update. This is preventing multiple applications from functioning, and this is even after I opted to keep Onedrive completely disabled on this workstation. I've followed all of the guides I've found to try and disable it. Removing the "Read-Only" flag on the directory does nothing.Somehow, Windows update not only activated Onedrive, but overrode my default "Documents" folder location and now multiple applications which require write access to this location will not start up. I've started Onedrive and sel

I use PowerQuery quite a bit together with Excel (Microsoft 365).Excel has started crashing whenever I access Table Design / Properties for a table created by PowerQuery. This is the scenario:- Put cursor in the table- Click Table Design menu- click "Properties" (which is present in the "External Data Table" section of the ribbon). [Note: Properties will be greyed out for an ordinary table - AFAIK, it's only accessible for a Table created by PQ.]- make some change in the window that pops upIn all existing workbooks, and even a brand new one I create, following Step 3 (or sometimes Step 4

Hi, we've recently moved to Office 365 from Google Suites and I've hit an issue in Powerpoint. In Google Slides, you can format a GIF with any of the picture editing tools and it will display exactly as intended. In Powerpoint, if you apply any formatting to a gif in edit mode, it removes those edits in Present mode. The two examples here are a crop & a drop shadow.Edit Mode:Present mode:The crop has instead scaled the 16x9 gif so that its aspect ratio is now incorrect, and all image formatting has been removed. We constantly use GIFs in presentations to demonstrate video work, and this severe

There are many ways to share desktop Microsoft Access for multiple users' simultaneous access. I am not talking here about sharing MS Access in the same network. I need to share it among several users outside my network. What is the cost-effective solution that I can use, and how? I tried using SQL Server to share the MS Access tables, but kept having several technical problems, as some MS Access codes are not so compatible. Any idea what other solutions that I can use at a very low cost? I don't want to jump into expensive solutions. Any help?
