Snipping tool image in word does not appear in print preview and does not print

Hi,

This has just started to happen.

  • Pasted a snipping tool image into a word document straight from snipping tool
  • Image appears in word with a dotted line at the bottom of the image
  • Saved file
  • Reopened
  • Viewed in Print Preview and image does not appear
  • Does not print

How do I solve this problem so I can print the whole document including the image

The fact that there is a dotted line at the bottom of the image suggests that it may be formatted as Hidden. If so, it is In Line With Text, which means that the option Jay mentioned would not apply.

 

But you would not be seeing a hidden image in any view unless you had Hidden text displayed. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, is the Show/Hide ¶ button turned on? If so, select the image and press Ctrl+Shift+H. This should not change the view in Print Layout but should change it in Print Preview (if in fact Hidden formatting was the problem).
