Limited pages in Word 2007

I received an error telling me I had exceeded to number of pages allowed. I was up to page 60 and need up to about 200 to 250 or so. Can we fix this or do I need to be using another application.
It would help to have the exact text of the error message, but it's bound to be bogus, as Word documents of 10,000 pages or more have been documented. Possibly the document is corrupted in some way.

It sounds like your document is slightly corrupted. The limit for page numbers is over 32,000, but when there are problems with the document structure, sometimes one of the symptoms can be this sort of message.

Create a new blank file. Select all BUT the very last paragraph mark. Copy and paste into new document. Save it with a new name.

FYI: in future, please give us the FULL and EXACT error message text, so that we can search our sources for a possible fix.  If you paraphrase the message we can only guess at the solution, if we happen to recognize the paraphrase.

Thanks for the very quick reply.

In light of your response, I’m wondering if my problem may be virus related. I recently picked up a Trojan called “Injector.bd”. My security software told me I had it and then said that it was “inaccessible”. Another scan soon thereafter didn't find it and I’ve had silly problems ever since.

I'll try that out sometime tonight.

As for the error message, I apologise for that. It would have been included but I thought my problem was going to be something to do with formatting. By the time I figured out I was wrong, I couldn't remember what it actually said.

I didn't mention the error message.

I originally thought I had some kind of format problem. By the time I realised I didn't, I had forgotten what the message actually said. Ordinarily I would have included it.
