Creating a template for team

I know it's possible to create a template for myself. But is it possible to create one which can be used and accessed by a team of people? Or is this not practical?

The main caveat is not to try to create or share Normal.dotm. Whatever you create should be a specific document template. If you want to be able to modify the template as needed, and/or if you don't want other users to be able to modify it, there will be further considerations.
