I wrote a book that I want to translate into several languages. Does anyone have an opinion as to the accuracy of the translator in Word (specifically, 2003, if that matters)? I can't evaluate it myself, because I don't speak the languages - if I did,
I wouldn't need the translator. And how does it compare to Google's translator?
Neither Word's translators nor Google's (which may well be the same) is adequate to translate a book. They're okay for rough-and-ready translations, but you can certainly test either by translating an English passage into a foreign language and then back.
If you get gibberish (as you likely will), you'll understand why the job of translating a book should be given to a professional translator.
