Samsung Magician software doesn't recognize Windows 10, wont initialize RAPID mode

This functionality uses a portion of your RAM to increase read/write speeds on Samsung's new 850 EVO and Pro SSD drives. Everything is a go except that it can't seem to find that the operating system is Windows 10 and that it actually qualifies for RAPID mode.

I imagine it's because they didn't program it anticipation Windows 10, but I'd like for you guys to get to the bottom of it, because I like speedy file transfers and shorter boot times!

Thanks,

Ryan Maynard

I have one each of Samsung 850Pro for windows 10 and 2nd drive is 850Evo in my laptop.

Magician 4.6 recognizes 850 EVO & Pro too,  but not Rapid with win10.

Magician 4.4 recognizes Win10 & 850 Pro and will Rapid,  but not Rapid on the 850 EVO.

So there doesn't seem to be any way to enable Rapid Mode on a 850 Evo with win10.

Wish Samsung was a little bit forward thinking on these.  I can understand they don't want to constantly fiddle with changes as win10 nears release.

4.4 Works with 850 Pro.  I too hope they get their act together so I can stop seeing the popup to update to a newer version on every boot

With all windows 10 versions since Dec 31st when I bought the 850 pro has had Rapid enabled with Magician 4.4,    then over written with 4.5 and now Magician 4.6 - no problems discovered doing that yet.

4.6 doesn't work with fresh install of 10130.  I can't go lower as 4.4 and 4.5 don't recognize the 850 EVO m.2 interface.  This is on Samsung.....

I am running Magician 4.6 and version 10074, and it is prompting me to use a Windows version 7 or later in order to enable Rapid mode. I have also updated firmware and checked for Magician software updates.

Until Samsung gets its act together we are all stuck with this issue.  I can tel you the Magician 4.4 works in rapid mode on 10130 on an 850 Pro.  It also says it works with 840 EV), etc

What do you mean by Samsung getting their act together??? Samsung has no reason to make a program for windows 10 beta. You simply don't know how it works. You should get yourself together and stop posting something irrelevant.  When Windows 10 is official Samsung will release an updated version of Samsung Magician. If it bothers you that much you should reverse to Windows 8.1 and wait for official release of Windows 10 or just live with the fact that Windows 10 is beta and you can expect some functions not to work. Get a grip!
