XBox One Smartglass Remote Functionality Inop across Multiple platforms

XB1 Smartglass app was worked on all my devices (Win8 Phone, Win 8.1, and Nexus 7 Tab), but this morning my remote buttons wont work within Smartglass. Smartglass will launch my apps, and adjust my volume, but none of the emulated remote buttons work i.e A, B,X, Y Home, etc. Not sure what has happened. It's connected to my XB1, I can launch apps, see achievements, etc,  only the remote doesn't work anymore.

Any clue as to why this would happen?

Are you trying this in an app or game? The Smartglass application doesn't work in games and that might be true for some applications too, although I am not 100% sure on that.

Maybe you could try to reinstall your Smartglass App to see if that fixes it. Either that or the connection isn't strong (although it's odd that it's communicating the other commands).

I'm not using it during gaming. Usually I will use it to bring up a context menu while watching TV. When my smart glass flips to the remote none of the buttons are working. This his true of my win phone and win 8.1 app. All other functions of the smart glass work, just not the buttons of the remote. Is there something I may have done to my Xbox to prevent smartglass from allowing button emulation?

I'm sorry you are having problems @tarheel. Please power off and physically unplug your xbox one console for like 15 seconds then plug it in and boot it up.  Restart your SmartGlass app and let us know if the buttons start working again. We have seen this happen on occasion and are working on an update to address it. In the mean time, please hard power cycle the xbox if this happens to occur again.  Thanks!

@Schief, The power cycle did correct the remote issue I was having. With the success of Smartglass I'm sure an update to correct the issue is in the works.

Thanks again

This in my mind seems to be related to the issue with the second controller stops being recognized as both these problems present themselves at the same time and the solution is the same
