Two Worlds 2....any good?

Not all the forums are up yet.  Other than that, I have nothing to add.

I have an opinion on Two Worlds 2. I didn't like it, despite how much I really wanted to. I just couldn't. It was impossible. :(

I enjoyed it.  The voice acting wasn't that good and the ending of the story was cheesy, but despite some of the flaws it's a good, fun open world RPG that is definitely worth $30.  There is also an expansion that's supposed to release this fall.

Not far in yet, but so far good, if you can overlook a few technical glitches and a rather user-unfriendly control scheme and menu system (I can). It is a bit overwhelming with the options it gives you; will maybe appeal more to classic RPGers. It doesn't hold your hand, and you can easily wander into enemies early on that can wipe the floor with you. It gives you TONS of options for creating spells, and if you are a gaming klepto you'll be in heaven (I am... I'd never steal IRL but love to in games).

Compared to the first one, it's amazing. Compared to other games, it's pretty good.

Its a good RPG, has some good mechanics other games on the genre would be smart enough to start using. It also has a multiplayer campaign and some PvP modes, which adds even more replay value. The campaign is long, very long and it took me around 10 or so hours just to finish Chapter 1 out of 3.

It has some technical and artistic problems so if you can overcome that, there is a good RPG deep down. I would rate it 7/10 myself.

I haven't got to play Two Worlds II yet since I've been depressed about some stuff and haven't felt like doing much gaming during the past six months, so I still need to get around to playing the games I got for Christmas, but from what I've read the reviews for the sequel are more favorable than the original, though still not that great.  The original game had an average rating of just 50.81% ("average") on Xbox 360, while the sequel fared slightly better with an average of 67.58% for the 360, which suggests some sort of improvement from the first.

Like others have said and like how it is with European RPGs coming onto consoles, the ambition of the team got the better of them, putting some technical issues on the game. If you have played and enjoyed any European RPG this generation, then you should have no trouble liking this one as well. I'd say $30 is a fair price for a lengthy campaign with a fun multiplayer campaign as a distraction with friends.

Hey thanks for all the feedback everyone. I think I will give this one a chance. The next game I really want to play isn't out till the end of June so this should fill that gap nicely. Thanks!
