Hey everyone!

I am trying to buy Gears of War for my PC. I tried to pay with PayPal, but everytime i want to complete the purchase this message pops up:

"Sorry.

Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."

Instead I purchased Microsoft Points with my PayPal account, no problem.

Then I tried to buy the Game with my Microsoft Points - same error-message!

How can I fix this issue? Or is it a bug in the xBox Store?

Hmm, what the heck!  Have you made sure all the payment details are correct on paypal.com and commerce.microsoft.com ?  Also, have you tried like a credit card to make the purchase or anything like that?  It's sounding like something PP specific, but we'd be happy to look into it with you!

Unfortunately, I don't have a credit card I could use ...

Also, I don't think that it is a problem caused by PayPal. As I wrote in my first post, the purchase of Microsoft Points worked just fine and my PayPal account works on every other online shop as well.

Hey Tarrokk! Can you confirm where you're trying to buy the game? Meaning are you trying to buy it on xbox.com? If not, where are you trying to buy it?

Also, make sure you log into paypal.com and commerce.microsoft.com and ensure that all of the payment details are correct so that we know there isn't a blockage there.

Another thing to consider is region. Make sure your region is set properly as the game may be region locked in your area.

I'm trying to buy the game on xbox.com. Every time I try I am logged into PayPal and commerce.microsoft.com, my payment details are correct, everything looks fine. As I already stated, I purchased some Microsoft Points without any problems.

I am from Germany. After I tried to buy the game with my region set to Germany, which didn't work, I set my region to US, just for testing. But the error message occurs even with the region set to United States.

Another thing I discovered is that I can't even download the GoW trailer movies. Same error message. I thought about my account being a teenager account or something like that, but in my profile it says adult account, so that can't be the reason either.

Hey there Tarrokk! Can you clarify what you mean by "set your region"? Did you do a region transfer, or did you change an option in your payment options somewhere. Please be as specific as you can with this info as it could really change the game here.

Also, it sounds like you are having trouble purchasing and/or downloading multiple things, is that true? Can you let us know all the things you are trying purchase/download and what happens?

Finally, just one last clarification: does all the information on your Xbox account match that of your Paypal account (name, address, region, etc.)? If there is any mismatch it could throw things off. Let us know, thanks!

Yeah, I did a region transfer for testing. So right now my PayPal information isn't the same as the xBox information. But I don't understand why you are talking about PayPal all the time. I bought 1600 MP on my account, which didn't cause any trouble at all. Now I am trying to buy Gears of War with the MP, the game costs 1600 Points, so that should work. PayPal isn't involved in this purchase, is it? Still I get the error message.

The things I can't purchase/download are Gears of War, GoW E3 trailer and GoW trailer, all for PC. Until now, I did not try to buy any other game, because I already own all the titles from the xBox store I am interested in. But I tried to download several demos, eg. Bulletstorm, and some trailer videos which didn't cause any trouble.

Last but not least, I just tried to buy GoW again and this time I received the following error message:

Hi,

I get the same message as the OP (trying to purchase Batman Arkham Asylum, UK), but I do not have a Paypal account to buy points so have been trying to use a credit card.  I went to the Xbox Live website to make sure my details were correct and on the Microsoft Account pages "transactions" and "payment options" I get the message:

"Our system is temporarily unavailable due to technical reasons. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact customer support.

Nevermind, I fixed the issue myself...

Still don't know, what the error messages are all about, but neither do you as it seems, so I don't care any longer.

At least I got my game now.

Ich kann seit gestern auch nichts mehr kaufen im Store. Habe nichts verändert in meinen Einstellungen.

Wieso muss ich eigentlich in Englisch schreiben wenn ich Hilfe benötige. Mein Geld ist auch nicht Englisch.

Translation:

I can buy more since yesterday nothing in the store. Have changed nothing in my settingsWhy must I write actually in English if I need help. My money isn't even English.
