Original Xbox Content not working on Xbox 360

I transferred my Halo 2 Content to Xbox 360 Which included Downloaded maps and I can't find them when I open the game. I also can't connect to xbox live due to the discontinuation. How would I be able to play downloaded content on the 360?

Hi, Dark fox 250

Do you have the storage device that originally held your Halo 2 DLC? That would be the best way to get access to these files.  What did you mean when you said you transferred the Halo 2 content to your new console? Was it a license transfer or a data transfer (ie with the transfer cable or a USB flash drive)?

Let us know when you can, we'll be here.

I don't have the storage from the Original anymore. 1 year ago, I transferred my files from the old 360 to the new 360. I used a transfer Cable.

Hi Dark Fox,

Have you made sure to perform a License Transfer to your new hard drive/console?

As fizzle mentioned, It sounds like a license transfer might be needed. This link should provide more information. support.xbox.com/.../download-content

I have done The License transfer and I Still don't have them showing when I Load the Game up.

I don't know if I need something else in the system when Checking my Storage Device.

Not sure if it will help much but this is what I Have in system items in my storage:

Cloud Storage Cache

Content Cache

Marketplace System Data

Rights Database

Video Bookmark Data

Xbox Improvement Program Data

Hi Dark fox,

You are correct, since the Halo 2 servers have been shut down this title is not playable online.

Since you have done a license transfer and used a transfer cable to move the content over, you should see that data in your new storage device.

  • Can you double check in your Halo 2 files on your storage device and see if the DLC is showing there.

  • Which DLC are you not showing? Is it all the maps or just some?

  • Where are you looking in-game that you don't see them?

Let me make a Try...

Dark fox 250, your 360 model is "Slim model" (ms has 3 models the fat, the first models substitute 3 years before, the slim the reduced substitute and "super slim the new one´s launched in this year), if your model is slim you can have one of that 3 problems and you didn´t like to read...

One cause of that is your model is the 4GB internal memory and that is not consider by the system a hard drive, to fix you have to buy a hd from MS, they have a 250, 320 GB models and some of them has a promotion whif a free game (or fable 2 or Lego SW3 CW), is a little more espansive but save most problems

Other cause is a third or a fake cable or hd drive, you to use the original MS cable and hard drive for that works, most of data problems come from buy a third product to transferdata (the only exception and ONLY FOR hard drive for fat model, because MS stopped the production in 2010 and only exists in market the 3rd certificed models = OEM, dosen´t buy any product OEM for slim..., because dosen´t exist a certficed MS one...

The last one you don´t like either, MS has stopped the support for Xbox origina games in 2010, that tool, dosen´t work in some slim models (even if you change hard drive), and has NO SOLUTION for that, because that´s a coflit between hardware and software and MS dosen´t have support for that tool, repeating my self that has stoped in 2010!.

I hope if i helped you and forgive my bad english, it´s self learnerd.

I didn't Know that was gonna happen. I Knew online won't work after 2010. But I Understand that, now. Guess that helps out then.
