i tryed to buy xbl gold membership on my xbox but it keep saying can't retrieve information from xbox live please try again later. and it said that like 5 hours ago...... it is later please help me and this isnt for this account i just forgot my window live id for my main account please help

You need to make sure all of your billing information is correct on your account. Normally I'd say sign into billing.microsoft.com to make sure everything is correct, but you said you lost the ID for that account. In that case, you'll have to call support and have billing help you sort it out. Phone support can also help you figure out what the ID was for that account.
