they said the discs are not backward compatible,
I haven't located anything about games on demand and issues like that
[/quote]Games on the Xbox 360 (both discs & digital) are NOT compatible with the Xbox One; this was the answer Microsoft's reps gave to us when people asked about the arcade games months ago. Any games that will be on the new console that were on the Xbox
360 will be remakes or improved versions & therefore will not be compatible (Minecraft Xbox One Edition, Battlefield 4, & CoD Ghosts just to name a few). For these games you will have to pay full price for a brand new copy. However, in some cases (as with
the latter 2 mentioned), you can take your Xbox 360 copy & trade it into Gamestop & pay only $10 more for the Xbox One edition - unfortunately, this promotion is only temporary & will not last forever - this is a benefit from the retailers, not from Microsoft.
In addition, certain DLC you purchase, such as a season pass, will be available across both consoles with only a single purchase - this is a benefit from the developers, not from Microsoft. Otherwise, there is NO backwards compatibility at this time or that
is planned in the near future. I hope this answers your question...
