It's the same with Google Chrome.
To fix it (temporarily) you need to clear your browser cache FULLY. Works for about 3 days , until it needs doing again.

It's not likely to be fixed for a while, I'm on the pre-beta of firefox 6, and it does the same.

The whole xbox.com site seems to be much less compatible with firefox 5.0 than it used to be, for example I've started to realise that the marketplace doesn't work with it either (doesn't show that you've purchased things, just gives you the options to buy them again)

This was happening a lot for me last week. The trick above worked for me but it was annoying to clear ALL cookies just to view one site.
So I added a cookie exception for forums.xbox.com.
Go to to Tools \ Options \ Privacy,
Set Firefox to Use custom settings, then next to Cookies, click exceptions, and add forums.xbox.com and set to Keep for session only.
This has solved the issue for me and I haven't had the error since.

i never cleared all the cookies.
goto tools/options/privacy
then click the "show cookies" button and just select the ones you want to remove.
