Machine: Xbox Slim Black
I was playing Gears of War 3 and they have a Mute Strangers function to mute people. I pressed "X" in lobby in arcade and the friends screen popped up. I then pressed "START" to use the Mute Strangers function in the screen however I was muted myself too.
In every game and in party of the dashboard I also have a mute icon next to my gamer tag. I can hear and talk to others in "Party Talk" or in "Game Talk" and they can hear and talk to me too. I was tried to install the Monday Night Combat and play through different parts. I was unmuted in some point which I can't recall. However I had cleared the cache of my console and the mute icon appeared again. I can't remove it by the same way.
Are there any official method to unmute myself? As I need to know weather my mic is working or not. I don't want to keep talking but can't see if my mic cannot receive my voice. I am sure it's not the mic's problem and my privacy setting for chat and message is opened to everyone. I had tried to clear the console's cache and even tried restoring my live account on my xbox.
I think you guys should add a function for players to mute or unmute themselves to prevent this kind of glitch in several games.
