Is there any way to get gamertags that are clearly being squatted on. Obviously, I have one in mind that I am confident it was squatted on during the release of gamertags last year. It is inactive and silver. Never played a single game. Is there anything support can do?

Nope. You can't force people to give up GTs because you want it regardless of the owner's intentions.

Also, the tag system is used for other Microsoft services. So even though it's not actively being used on the 360, it could still be use on Zune or something.

Nope. What's been made is made. Of course, however, if the owner of the tag decides to preform a Gamertag change.
