Creating a child account

I am so frustrated with this b.s. with creating a child account. Why does my 7 year old need a freakin email? This is rediculous. I may not have even bought this system if I had known all the hoops we have to jump through just to add another player to play the game, I mean can people just pick up a controller and play a game anymore?

It part the XB1. And when it first showing It going to be online only. And people complained about it. Now we can played offline. And nip this in the butt. When ur son want join LIVE. I t need to link to your profile because he under age. I can't give you links from where I log on from. It on top of page says support. just move the mouse pointer over it. And a menu will pop up. And click XBOX ONE. And the info u needed is there.

Hey MightyZaino,

If you wanted to, you can use your own email address and setup his account with correct personal data to create a child account. That way you don't have to setup an email account for your child. When you child is older and wants to create his own personal email address you can then change the MSA ( email address connected to that Gamertag) so it reflects his personal address and not yours.

Hope this helps you so you don't have to create a new email address for your son and feel secure that you know what he is doing and can control what he is doing.

Actually you are allowed to pick up second controller on Xbox One and play games. Log in with your own user, and your child can pick up other controller and join with you (if game allows to play together). Example: FIFA 14. You do not need create for him Xbox Live account if he playing only with you.

If he wants play alone too, with his own account, not with your account. Most parents prefer that children have own accounts. Then you can create for him his own account. And set up it with parental account. Also most parents prefer it that way to manage children accounts. That way they have full control what they do on Xbox One.

If you are worried about Xbox Live Gold, then on Xbox One only one Xbox Live Gold needed. If your account have Xbox Live Gold, then everyone, including your child, have automatically access to Xbox Live Gold functions too.
