Created Live-Account via Computer - Can't connect to it via Xbox

Hello people,

Yesterday I bought a W-Lan Adapter for my Xbox and furthermore an 800-Points Card + 3 Months Xbox Live Gold Card.

So I had gone home and created a Windows Live account on the Xbox-Website. I added the codes of my cards to my account and thought, I could start playing with my Xbox. But as I tried to connect my profile with the Live-Account, it said "Another Gamer-Tag is connected with this account - choose another e-Mail adress". I could use another e-Mail, but on this account, which I have already created, I added my card-codes, which costed money.

I tried to phone the service-hotline, but it seems that everybody is busy there.

Thus I used another e-Mail account for my profile, which allows me to enjoy 1 month Xbox-Live without paying anything. But still my money is invested in the other account. Is it lost now? Is there any possibility to transfer things from account A to B? Or is it possible to finally connect my profile with the account, which I created on my computer?

I am really desperate. I hope you can help me out.

Thanks

you need to recover the other account

no the profiles cannot be merged nothing can be transfered

to promote an account you have to join xbox live on the profile and make a new account not use an existing account

When you start up your xbox, go to the place where you sign in, and go right across until you see "Recover Gamer Tag"

Open that up, and do what it says. It was ask you to enter the email and password you signed up for the account you put then 800 points card and 3 months of xbox live on. If the information you entered is correct, it with start retrieving the data for the profile.

I did the same, joined live on the website and on the xbox there's only the option to join xbox live. and I couldn't find anything on the main site to help, I thought it might help if i could delete it online then re-do it on the xbox but i can't find the option to cancel my free account online either.  Help?

On your Xbox go to the main dashboard screen. There will be tabs up top, i.e. Bing, Home, Social, etc. Go to the Social tab, go down to Sign in or Out. Scroll to the right and go to Download Profile. Follow on screen steps. That should allow you to use the profile you set up online for your Xbox!

Ok, I did that, but I already had a profile on the console. I thought I was created the live account for that one. Now I can't get my email off the useless one and to the one I've been using.
