Windows Live Mail error "WLDCore.dll is missing"

OT:makaainana.

I had a working Windows live mail prog.  I did something and now the program will not load and the banner comes up that says file WLDCore.dll is missing.

Where do I find that file and how do I load it?

Thanks and Aloha

Hi,

I apologize for the delay in response.

Please check if the wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll are available at c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared.

If they are available please copy them to the following locations.

  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail

Note: If you are using a 64 bit operating system, please use Program Files (x86) instead.

Hope this information was helpful. Please reply with the results and if you need further assistance or have any other queries regarding Windows, we are here to help you.

Aloha A S

I got your answer but I am not very good on computers.  Can you point me in a direction where I can find a step by step procedure to install the two files where they are supposed to be?

My live mail is slowly getting better.  I can now reas messages, but I can't print or forward them.

Mahalo,

Scott Robeson

Have you looked in C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared or C:\Program Files (86)\Windows Live\Shared to see if the files are there?
