Answer
Hi Karel050,

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

1. Click Start,

2. Type “run” in the Start Search box, and then

3. Click Run in the Programs list.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.

4. In the Open box, type %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome

5. Click OK.

6. In the details pane, right-click “mediacenterdatastore.db”, and then

7. Click Delete.

8. Click yes to confirm that you want to move the "Mediacenterdatastore.db" file to the Recycle Bin.

9. Start Windows Media Center.

Doing this will rebuild the mediacenterdadastore.db file for Windows Media Center.

You may disable and enable Media center. Follow these steps:

1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.

2. Open Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Note: If Programs and Features is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

3. Select Turn Windows features on or off in the left column of the Programs and Features window.

4. Uncheck Windows Media Center and then click OK.

5. Click Restart Now to restart the computer.

To reinstall Media center follow the same steps and check off Windows Media Center.

Click Restart Now for the changes to apply.

Also run SFC scan to find missing or corrupt files that may be causing this issue.

Follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.

2. Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue

3. At the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER:
sfc /scannow
