Internet access and Unidentified network no internet access?

So guys, on my network connection bar thing which shows all your connections, it says Internet Access(picture of a house) and below that it has Unidentified Network no internet access(picture of the bench). I don't know if this is a coincidence but once that Unidentified Network showed up my internet started to get really slow. So can anyone tell me to fix this or is my internet just getting slow? I have tried like those cmd ipconfig tricks and messing around with the Internet options but nothing seems to work.

Hi Jono,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced. I will give my best to help you.

1.    Do you have Bonjour application installed on the computer?

2.    Have you made any recent changes to the computer?

3.    Which antivirus application are you using?

4.    Are you using wired or wireless connection?

5.    What is the make and model of your computer?

Let’s follow these methods and check if it fixes the issue.

Method 1: Here you need to troubleshoot using the Network troubleshooter in Windows 7 and check for the issue to do that follow the below provided link.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Using-the-Network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: If Bonjour application is installed, let’s try to uninstall it and check.

Refer this link to uninstall Bonjour:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program

Method 3: Open the command prompt by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then right clicking command prompt and select
"Run as Administrator".

·         Type route delete 0.0.0.0 press enter.

·         Type ipconfig /flushdns press Enter

Restart your Computer.

Thank you, but unfortunately none of those have worked for me. My Wireless Network Connection 2 (Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter) is not connected and I don't know how to connect it. I've tried to enable it but it already is, can this be the problem? And also I haven't made recent changes to my computer

When i press network in computer, this random computer named Ben-HP is in the Computer and Media Devices section with my PC. But when i click on it, it says "Network Location:Unidentified Network". Can this person be using my internet and is it why my internet is slow?
