Windows 10 Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator Problem

I did a fresh clean install of windows 10 on my ASUS X550LC laptop which previously had a clean install of windows 8.1 running on it.

Initially my bluetooth was working fine but now its been a few weeks i cant access my bluetooth .

When i opened my device manager it shows an exclamation mark on Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator and on opening the device's property is shows " STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE (Code 10) - The device cannot start " .

I have tried reinstalling drivers by uninstalling the blueooth device from the device manager and reinstalling them through windows update/browse and download driver software automatically from the internet in the device manager itself.

But even after taking so much pain and trying every solution possible i found no luck to try and get my bluetooth back to work normally . My bluetooth device is Ralink RT3290 as reported in the device manager (with yellow question mark) when no driver was installed .

Please suggest what should i do ?

PS : i am attaching the screenshot below to make things more clear.

Hi Nishchay,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

I appreciate you for providing details about the issue and your effort towards resolving it.

I would recommend you to manually update the Bluetooth driver from the Device Manager.

Please refer to the following Wiki article created by Andre Da Costa on How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-to-install-and-update-drivers-in-windows-10/a97bbbd1-9973-4d66-9a5b-291300006293

If the issue still persists then, I would recommend you to download and install the latest Bluetooth driver in compatibility mode from the manufacturer and check if it works.

Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance with Windows. We are glad to assist you.

Thank you.

If you could link me the the correct drivers for my bluetooth device for windows 10 64 bit it would be highly appreciated.

I will then try updating manually and report back .

Hi

I experience the exact same problem on a thinkpad w530 (Lenovo). They have released new drivers for win 10, but windows insists on using older ones when I try manual install.

I can see and it seems I can also connect, but not communicate (open object).

Please! help.Let me know if you need technical details.

Kind regards

Hi Nishchay

Thanks, that may help. Hope it is just the driver.

I am not sure how to retrieve the existing driver, but it is dated 25-03-2015 from broadcom.

The one from Lenovo is this: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w530/downloads/DS103428

The new one is dated 7/7 2015.

I have asked around, and it seems that win 10 has a known issue with bluetooth, so until further  my solution is to use a PC with win 7.

Kind regards

(Solved) The idiots at Microsoft and Asus yet again have dropped the ball on updating us ASUS owners to the current driver that will work! Go here to get the one that will. http://www.mediatek.com/en/downloads1/downloads/pcimpcicbrt2860rt2760rt2890/. Now the geniuses who made Microsoft Windows 10 won't let you install it. Here's how you do it. Rename the file something simple like Ralink.exe and move it to the C:\  drive right click on the file - left click on properties- and untick the unblock box. Now you would think this would work and now you can install the NEWEST drivers for your Bluetooth device to work, but you'd be WRONG. Here's the work around that little problem. Open the cmd.exe from the search box on your taskbar. Once you see it listed, right click on the command or cmd.exe and select "run as administrator" once in the dos prompt type cd \ {dos command} to get you to the root C:\ at that prompt type Ralink.exe or whatever you named the file. Go through the WHOLE installation process. Reboot and Viola!!!! working Bluetooth on your Asus tp500la or similar. It took me a whole effen day to figure this **** out, but alas my Blutooth speakers are rockin like Dokken. Email me if you need help. cirecomputers at outlook dot com. My work is your relief. Peace!
