IMAP & SMTP servers for hotmail.com

Hi,

What are IMAP & SMTP server addresses for hotmail.com? The help list stuff only for outlook.com? Shall use those servers? Since yesterday my mac stopped receiving mail or send at that matter.

They are the same and these are the correct settings

IMAP for PC

Incoming IMAP mail server

imap-mail.outlook.com
Incoming IMAP mail server port: 993; Encryption: SSL

Outgoing SMTP mail server
smtp-mail.outlook.com
Outgoing SMTP mail server port: 587; Encryption: SSL (TLS)

Server Requires Authentication (ON)

IMAP for MAC


 Outlook.com does support IMAP and SMTP.
Incoming server:
IMAP: imap-mail.outlook.com
Port: 993
Encrypted Connection: SSL
Outgoing server:
SMTP: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Port: 25 or 587
Encrypted Connection: TLS
Username: Your Username
Password: Your Password
This won't work on mac os x mail unless you disable pop in your outlook.com account first. If you have mac os x mail, and you don't disable pop in your outlook.com account first, mail will automatically setup pop and smtp.
