Visualizations for Groove Music player?

I've been looking around, but can't seem to find it. Is there no way to get visualizations in the Groove Music player on Windows 10, such as what they had with Windows Media Player? If so, how? If not, it might be something to consider when updating the music player sometime down the road. Hope I'm not embarrassing myself by having overlooked something. If you could enlighten me in any way in this regard, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi bigbeardedbuddy,

 Thanks for your entry,

In fact with Groove on Windows 10, many features may be different comparing with previous players versions. I would invite you to post and vote your suggestions on related page here below linked.

I finally gave up with Groove..... I'm VERY happy with VLC Media player.  Free to download and free to use.

Still better than ANY other Media Player out there.  Plays everything. (Even video .mkv files)

It's called Video LAN.

I have VLC as well, have had it for quite a while. I originally got it in order to play .flac files, which Windows Media Player (or Groove) wanted no part of. Was just curious to see if they had any plans for visualizations on Groove.

Windows Media Player - still resident in Windows 10 - will now play and rip FLAC files.

Do you actually have any plans on even implementing features the user base requests? Why is it always so difficult with this company? You just linked to another thread of MULTIPLE users requesting the same feature, and asking why standard features on other apps aren't present here.

Comments from linked post:

  • please implement visualizations
  • no visualizations terrible artwork layout groove is not good really
  • Skins and visualizations needed.
  • Yeah, I really wanted to give Groove a shot, but it just isn't there yet. I've been using the Zune software for years and I love it. My biggest issues with Groove are these:
  • Groove does not have the paste album art function like Windows Media Player has. This is a bad omission. It should have that function. Groove does not have visualizations or skins making it less fun than it could easily be.

So not only does it not have otherwise standard features, it lacks simple ones used in it's predecessors.  Why does this continue  to  happen?

EDIT: I just realized you also linked to a question about Windows Phone Music, when the main query here is of Windows 10 functionality, NOT MOBILE.

Yeah. I can never get my head around that it seems like Microsoft puts out stuff even though they haven't fully developed it yet. Just like Edge, it all seems flawed. If I were Mr. Gates, I would be ashamed employing programmers less competent than those employed by Google.

I assume then, that the answer is actually that at this point there are no visualizations in Groove.

Could you have just said that and then posted your link?
