WDTV HDMI in green tint

Hi has anyone tried connecting a WDTV Streaming Player to their Xbox One?  I have mine connected however sporadically a green tint will come across the screen.  This can be fixed by fiddling around with the HDMI cord but I was wondering if there was more of a more permanent solution to this.  

I have also tried several HDMI cords so I'm also getting concerned that is more of a hardware issue on either the Xbox or WDTV side of things.

Any help or suggestions would be great!

I'm also experiencing the exact same issue. WD looks fine, but as soon as I play the video, the green tint comes back.

Hey guys,

Green or purple tints is often because the box is trying to output in YCC instead of RGB colorspace. Can you try one of the following?

1) Set your STB to the RGB colorspace?

2) With the Xbox One on, pull the power cord from your STB and power cycle it.

Yea, this didn't work. Still green... Changed from 50hz to 60hz. Still green.

I have the same issue. It is also causing BBC iPlayer to not load. I had to connect the wdtv directly to my TV to get it to work. Looks like the wdtv and Xbox one have HDMI issues together

Sorry guys. The Xbox prefers the RGB colorspace, not YCC. It would seem that the WDTV box isn't respecting the information we send it from our EDID.

We can improve our YCC support, but it's not as important as some of the other issues we're seeing, because most STBs respect the fact we ask for things in RGB.

Well, my Bell TV receiver has the same issue. So basically everyone but MSFT has to change their equipment?

Set the RGB Low in the WDTV Live menu, and set HDMI to Auto. That looks like a quick fix

Glad to hear it worked Daddy. The only devices that have this issue are ones that don't obey the HDMI spec and listen when we ask for RGB. There are very few boxes that have this issue.

Unfortunately it does not work for very long. When you select iPlayer or Netflix it just hangs and goes black. Xbox One shoudl handle YCC as well if that is really the issue
