LAG!! >:/

Been stated before that either next week or when Skarlet comes out we'll be getting a patch that should be fixing the online more. Kind of odd that I don't get many laggy matches, really. Out of the hundreds I've played, I only really noticed about 10-20 that were lag filled. Over half of them were KotH, too. 1v1 usually shows no signs of it.

1v1 runs pretty good for the most part. It's just KOTH for me. It's definitely playable. I wouldn't have logged over 2000 matches if it was unplayable.

Almost every 1v1 Ive played has been either like laggy to the point of frame rate stutter, or the small lag where inputs wont register.  Private matches have been mostly stable, but any public stuff is unplayable for me.

Before you challenge someone, hit "a" on them once and wait about 10 seconds to make sure they stay a 4 star connection to you.  Usually works great for me.  You can't trust the connection rating in the main lobby.  Seems like almost everyone gets a 4 star rating in the main lobby.  Stay away from KOTH for the moment until the patch/download update.  

Some people have been lucky with online multiplayer, others (like me) have been incredibly unlucky and have terrible lag with a great internet connection. Mine is so bad that every time I've tried to play it takes a good ten minutes to get a match and when I get in it's riddled with the input lag the OP mentioned.

I have been far from lucky.  It took me a long time to figure out how to get into good games.  It is a pain in the a** and it doesn't work all the time, but it does get me by for the mean time.  I hope the patch fixes it for us all.

1v1 matches are fine for me, but KOTH is unplayable. Hopefully they fix the lag so I cant start playing

I have played my first online matches today (I know I'm late) and it was too laggy for me, playable but too laggy. I won 3/4 matches but I felt like a noob, not saying I'm great but it was weird trying to land combos. I was so use to doing them to the AI on Hard & Expert but when I got online, it was much slower. I probably won't play online again, maybe after the patch I'll see how it is. And in no way am I trying to complain, I loved the game for the story mode, ladders, challenges, test your luck and just facing the AI in general so it's all good. Hopefully the patch will come soon so you guys can enjoy online better.

The game still has lag, but is still very playable. At this point I'm having more good matches then bad, at least in Ranked anyway

I recently started playing online again in King Of The Hill mode and I'm greatly disappointed by just how awful it is. I know that I've got a great connection because in any other game I play there's hardly ever any lag but this is ridiculous. I played as Scorpion just because I'm half decent with him and I put in the command for the spear but all he did was back up. At one point I was up against Cyrax and this guy new something about combos so I tried a breaker and it never even read. I think the worst example of lag that I've ever faced on this game was when I went 1 on 1 against Jax. I was Scorpion and I hadn't been hit once in the second round but for some reason as soon as Jax had about 2% health at the most I decided to use an enhanced spear but he blocked it and took no damage so then I used an enhanced hellfire and yet again he blocked and somehow took no damage. I found this to be the funniest thing considering hellfire is supposed to be unblockable but I used an enhanced hellfire which I thought would end the round. Finally I used an enhanced teleport and he blocked that as well after that he used a throw and I could no longer get a flawless victory but then the weirdest thing happened. I was backing away getting ready to attempt another hellfire and suddenly the Finish Him thing shows up and his character starts looking stunned. So I try the fatality known as Toasty and not only does it not register but some how even though I'm within jumping distance Scorpion still connects with a hit. That was the craziest lag experience I had ever had. I hope they come out with a patch for this thing soon because that single round destroyed it for me.
