I can't find Matches online on MW3

are you a gold membership does the other game you play was on multiplayer

to play online you must be a gold member to play on xbox live.if you are a gold member and have an active gold account,the problem maybe the servers were down on that day i would try again at a later time with MW3 if you can play online on ufc guitar hero and saints row.it would be that call of duity servers were down or overloaded.

What does your NAT say when you load the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? I understand that this game has an in-game NAT detection that will tell you if it's Open, Moderate, or Strict.

Having a moderate/strict NAT will prevent you from finding games with others in some games.

My Nat type is open and i do have a gold membership and it is active and i do try multiple times a day at mw3 but no games ever found every time i searched   every day is the same no games found.

If your using a router please try to directly connect your XBOX 360 via Ethernet Cable to the back of your cable/dsl modem. Then try to do another search for games.

You can try to reset all your network connections and even rebooting both modem and wireless router. Given your Xbox and fresh network connection might be the key you need to find matches online. Also, you can try to see other lobby-type games such as Halo, Black-Ops, etc. to see if you get the same results.

Hi there Ma5terWolfe1, can you please tell me whether you have recently downloaded the new free-map "Terminal"? If so, did the problems occur after this? Is there any sort of error message that appears when you try to play online?

Personally I would follow R327's advice, on trying to see if other online games allow you to join similar styled 'pre-game lobbies'. Then report back to this thread so you can be further helped.

However, if other online (lobby-like) games work then it might be worth going to MW3 support chat and asking them if there are any problems on their end. (http://support.activision.com)

even with my xbox connected directly to my modem nothing happens and i tried rebooting everything also i did download terminal but the problem occured a long time ago around when i first bought my xbox and mw3 and as far as the other games that has the same pre-game lobbies the same for them they never found a soul.

After having you follow all of the above advice,. Considering your Nat type is "Open", and all of the other games have the equivalent problems to Modern Warfare 3, not being able to find a game, I suggest calling your internet provider, to send a new router. After you have described the problems you are facing, they should then send you a new router, for free (depending on who your internet provider is).
