Having Problems Summoning A Friend, Can't see eachothers signs. (NOT SOUL MEMORY)

alright. so me and my friend have been trying to summon eachother, but we can not see eachothers signs. we are the same level and soul memory. it says xbox live is having some problems. and was wondering if that was it. but i can see messages AND Bloodstains. i just do not get it. has anyone else experienced this? i just don't know what to do. It has nothing to do with cov's, soul level or memory. it is something to do with the game,  servers or something on the lines of that. does anybody have any ideas? i just really want to play. i am SL113 and 1.4m SM. please add me and see if i can summon you :)

You could try the Name-engraved Ring.  The cat in Majula sells it.  If you and your friend both choose the same god, then it may help you find each other's signs.  It'll also help keep others from summoning you if you don't want them to, since they would also need to be wearing the ring and have selected the same god in order to see your sign.

I think I've seen something like this before. Sometimes me and certain friends are able to summon each other no problem, and sometimes we just can't see each other's signs even with the engraved ring. If it is a hiccup with the system itself, I don't think there's much to be done about it on your end.

I assume both you and your friend are either in NG, or NG+ and beyond. If either of you are on characters on different games, you won't be able to connect. Aside from that, you can try adding him to your preferred player list, if that even does anything in Dark Souls 2.
