So here's the set up. I just recently moved out to a VERY rural area in Texas. It's so rural that we don't even have dial-up out here. I moved from a major city. I had a Gold account for around 5 years before we just moved a few weeks back. All of my content is still there on my hardrive but it a lot of it won't register in game. I'm on an air card on a laptop right now. Other than that we have no internet. I bought the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 that came with all the expanded content on disk.
With Oblivion, some of my DLC is registering but not all of it. I've downloaded all the expanded content for Oblivion but not all of it is reflecting in game. I've got access to things like Frostcrag Spire and Deepscorn Hollow but no access to The Shivering Isles. The game won't read it. I also don't have Mehrune's Razor. Does content like this require a connection the LIVE service to access?
All of my Fallout 3 content came off the bonus disc My Oblivion stuff was downloaded. Why isn't any of my Fallout stuff showing up? Does it also need an active connection even though it was downloaded off of the CD? If that's the case then I can't access my content. And won't be able to for at least a year and a half while waiting for some form of internet to get out here.
