Fable download on xbl problem. (Original xbox games Disc/Downloads)

Hey guys,

I've recently downloaded Fable of xbl, but i seem to get an error when i start it.

The error: Game cannot start, please download again... I'm still getting the same error after re downloading twice, and also tried a Original xbox game disc and getting the same error as before.

I have all updates, xbox 360 slim, 250gb hdd, discs in good condition

I've tried clearing cache, but it didn't work, any help would be great.

Seems i've tried everything i can think of, just wasted 1200 msp.

Are you using an Official Microsoft XBox HDD?  Is it a third party HDD?  Third party drives do not contain the necessary emulation software that is required for backwards compatibility.

There is no way to add that necessary software, unfortunately. From where was the console purchased?

Both items i believe were purchased from ebay, the console itself is fine.

But the sounds of it, the HDD might be fake.. Is their any visual signs to know it's fake

Unfortunately those counterfeit drives look almost identical to the real thing. The easiest way to tell would be to try a friend's store-bought drive on your console, to see if the game works then. I suggest contacting the vendor for a refund.
