XBOX LIVE MODDERS/HACKERS THAT THREATEN

There is nothing another player can physically do to another players console over XBL. The only thing another player can do to another player is flood their IP address, this is called a DDoS attack and takes their entire network down, not just XBL, and can be resolved by contacting your ISP and getting a new IP address. If that is being done then you need to involve law enforcement as these attacks are illegal.

It is against forum rules to name and shame other players here, regardless of what they may or may not have done. Please use the tools on your console to file a complaint against the offender so the XBL PET can review the complaint and take the necessary actions.

Alternatively you should also block communications with the offender, then adjust your online status to friends only. Now the offender can no longer send you messages or see when or where you are on XBL.  

The plain hard fact is that modders are ruining many multiplayer games on Xbox Live- L4D2, Halo Reach, etc.

Sometimes it's hard to tell whether someone is modding or just that good and this too is an issue- but when a player is far and above all other players, and especially when their Xbox gamerscore is low (as in under 1000 or close to), well, they are modding and it affects the game, the outcome, your stats, and ultimately your fun.

I report 'em and leave it up to the companies.  Microsoft and others (i.e. Bungie, Valve, Rockstar Games, etc) need to take a harder line towards them, but they probably don't want to lose their business, so they don't- and that blows.  They need to ban their Xbox consoles, but also their credit card numbers, there names, and any other IDs that distinguish them from others.

Yep the almighty dollar means more to them than protecting there clients,and yes you can freeze pple out on games  stop them from moving shooting them i had it done to me already  today on red dead redemption. The guy who did was proud of the fact he was modder, even claiming he had been console banned and threatened to freeze me everytime i played rdr claiming  his mates were all modders. I laughed at the end of the day hes just another xbox hardman angry at the

world   and the enforcement team are a joke modders cheats an hackers probbley laugh at them

I remember one time when I was playing Halo 3 and some guy threatened to hack my account. I invited him to party chat and offered him free Live Gold for a year if he could give me proof he had played on my account from his Xbox within one month.

I never heard back from him.
