Playing on DLC maps (with USB flash drive)

I really need an answer for the following question:

Since i only have the 4gb HDD, can i download the new Maps for Call of Duty MW3 and save them on my USB drive and then play on them without them being on the actual HDD?

Or do I NEED them saved on the HDD in order to play them?

PLEASE HELP...Any information that is helpful will be appreciated.

Providing you have the USB formatted for 360 use you will be able to download the map-packs to them.

You could suffer some performance issues however.

But can I play on the Maps even if they are saved on the USB drive and not in the Hard Drive?

you can save theme on a flash drive and just keep puting it in

The answer, which perhaps I was not clear about, is yes you will be able to use the maps from your USB but you may get performance issues.
