is xbox live ending for 360

Allot of people are posting this question already. My guess is it will be running for a long time. With the old Xbox, they stopped supporting one year, then two years down the line they turned of online play for it.

It just depends, however they will post anything regarding the retirement of Xbox 360's live play on the forums in a service announcement. So please be sure to keep a watch on those. I suggest bookmark in your browser

They'll support it as long as it is financially viable to do so. At some point though there isn't going to be enough players on the 360 to warrant the upkeep.

It'll be a sad day when it does arrive but I don't think you have anything to worry about for a good while yet.

Yeah the above posters are pretty much spot on. I imagine there will be some sort of announcement when the time comes but like they said ^ I wouldn't worry just yet.

I want the xbox live keep running bit longer.

Xbox LIVE will be running for as long as there are Xbox consoles being released. Its the support for the 360 that was the question :)

I heard 2016 and with more research not for 3 more years because MS is not losing any money on Xbox One yet which forces MS to keep 360 running due to the fact they are pulling in a bigger share (40 %) of profit through the 360 and not through the Xbox One yet. Even though, several options will be drop one by one within the 360 system like points shifted into current currency instead the MS point system is just a taste of dismantling of the 360. I still will not buy any more 360 games from here on out because who knows what MS will really do. One thing we all can agree on is MS will never come right out with it unless it killing their bottom line. however, at some point in time, MS will need to pull the 360 system off line for good when will this be who knows it is all speculation right now. When my account ends in October I will be gone from Live and head to a another network or none at all. In ending, just enjoy access you have now I am sure you will be seeing little by little disappear from the 360 live system as time goes on but while it is here use it spending little while you use it.

True too, enjoy what time you have with it whilst its still supported. The original xbox is no longer supported but there's still plenty of fun to be had on that! With the sheer amount of games available for the 360 its still going to be an awesome machine even when support stops. Sure, there will never be an endless LIVE support for it but whilst there is, just enjoy it :)
