I just purchased a gold-membership, but i'm still unable to play online

I just renewed my gold-membership, but i'm still unable to play online. Are any of you guys familiar with  a solution?

well since you are gold here

i assume that you added a code on the website

test xbox live connection or recover your gamertag (testing xbox live connection is faster)
