emergency offline update... error

so in prep for the midnight release im trying to access and download the latest and first patch for XB1, but when i click on both links to open the files and save to my usb device, it brings me to an error page saying:

FILE NOT FOUND:

fire fox cant find the file at htp://download.microsoft.com/download/5/9/A59AE06A1-14EA-4B3C-996E-C54D371A757E/6.2.9781.0(xb_rel_flash1307.130829-1800).zip.

and it says the same exact response for the other link too. HELP??????????

I believe the files have been removed at the moment. Maybe there was a problem with them.

Hey there folks!

The emergency offline update is specifically for emergencies when the online update does not work for you and your console is in a state that needs to be repaired. It was removed for the time being to avoid confusion. When you have your console, you'll just need to connect to Xbox Live and download the update from there. ^_^

I think many have a bit of fear that we will have issues similar to 2007 when XBL suffered from the strain of the holiday rush. To be fair, XBL has been extremely reliable since. However, the fear still lingers for some and the PS4 problem (unfairly) is a recent issue. Nobody wants a Day One console that can't do anything on day 1 because you can't update it.

I'll second the fear of plugging in my new console tonight/tomorrow and then being unable to use it because the servers are overloaded and I can't get the day one patch.  Also: what abotu people who know they won't be online or have reliable internet on day one? Are they hosed?

I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope the giant Live server farm lives up to the hype.

If it reassures you any, I just got mine from the UK midnight launch and the update downloaded super fast and with absolutely no issues whatsoever. It's brilliant so far.
