Can't Connect to XBOX Live

When I turned on my XBOX 360 about an hour ago, I wasn't connected to XBOX Live.  While trying to connect, I got a prompt that I needed to download an update.  The update downloaded and installed successfully with no errors.

However, I still can't connect to XBOX Live.  When I run the connection test, it is successful every time.  But when I try to connect to XBOX Live with my profile (the same one I'm logged into the forums with right now), I get the message that I can't connect to XBOX Live.  But then if I run the connection test again, it is successful.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Possibly it is a profile problem.  Check your account and make sure there are no expired credit cards and that all your information is correct.    

You could also try deleting the profile off of your xbox and then recover it from Xbox Live.
