Blu ray discs are no longer being detected by my console. The error code I get is 0x8080002. Games and DVD's play fine. Have tried a hard reset, clearing persistent storage and turning off BD live but none of that worked. Is there anything else I can try ?

Try this:
Uninstall Blue-Ray App.
Go to Settings>Disc and Blu-ray Settings
Make sure there is a check at 24 hz.
Scroll down to persistent storage, clear it.
Go back to the home screen.
Make sure no disc is in disc drive
Power cycle console for 10 seconds
Power drain, and unplug everything

Unfortunately didn't work although some of my Blurays sometimes play. My son is going to take the discs that won't play to try on his mates Xbox one.
