About this new Dashboard Update

Iv just looked on ign and its saying that some console from 2009 may not work and comes up with disk unreadable. Well my son has a arcade made in 2008 will hes console be affected by this update.

M$ say that only a very small number will be affacted. Anyway, it's not all bad news if it does break. M$ have confirmed they will be replacing any affected consoles with a new "slim".

I already own 2 slims a 4gb and 250gb so if this console brakes does this mean ill be getting a 3rd lol.

Yep! They can find out if your console is affected over LIVE too and will send you an email if you are affected, and you can contact support. Also, you will get 12 months gold membership too.

But what about if the console aint connect to live cos hes only 9 i dont let him go on live i update hes console via usb. I dont let him on live cos he plays for achievements and when the game updates it added new dlc achievements and i dont want him to know there is more achievements or he will winge and wine about getting on live so he can get them.
