Cannot permanently uninstall MCIR Keyboard drivers

The following keyboard drivers appear to block several keys, including colon and backslash in DirectX 10 and other applications:
Microsoft eHome Remote Control Keyboard keys
Microsoft eHome MCIR Keyboard
Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard
HID Keyboard Device

When I uninstall these drivers, the blocked keys are again allowed. However when I restart (or unhibernate) my computer, the drivers are restored.
How can I permanently remove these drivers?

Hello green3q,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Windows Vista Community site.

Have you been to the keyboard manufacturers website to see if there where any current drivers?

Try logging into safe mode and uninstall from there.

This should resolve your problem.
