If Epson aren't prepared to write 64 bit software (either for Vista or Win7) I'd think about getting a scanner made by a different manufacturer that does have 64 bit support. Canon's LiDE200 has 64 bit drivers, so it's not that Epson cannot write something,
it's their choice not to do so.
