I need a 64 bit driver for my scanner: Epson Perfection 2580 Photo. Any ideas? Epson tells me they don't know of a 64 bit version of this software...

I need a 64 bit driver for my scanner:  Epson Perfection 2580 Photo.  Any ideas?  Epson tells me they don't know of a 64 bit version of this software...

If Epson aren't prepared to write 64 bit software (either for Vista or Win7) I'd think about getting a scanner made by a different manufacturer that does have 64 bit support.  Canon's LiDE200 has 64 bit drivers, so it's not that Epson cannot write something, it's their choice not to do so.

Vuescan http://www.hamrick.com/ supports the Perfection 2580 but is not free.
