Cannot use a printer on a networked computer

I have a Brother HL-1430 connected to a Windows XP desktop using a parallel socket to USB converter cable which works absolutely fine
I have an Windows XP laptop which successfully prints on the HL-1430 via my wireless home network
I have an Windows 7 64bit laptop which CANNOT print on the HL-1430 via my wireless home network
I connected the printer to the laptop USB port to get the right drivers installed and printed a test page OK . The laptop can see the printer over the network but when I try to connect, Windows gives me a message "Windows Cannot connect to the Printer" - "Operation failed with error 0x00004005

Try the method here and see if it works for you:

Connecting an XP printer to Win7

Worked very well for me.
