Cannot re-download Fitbit app in Windows 10 Store

I recently purchased a Fitbit Alta and downloaded the Windows 10 app from the Windows Store without any problems. I have been using the usb connector to sync my Alta to my FitBit App while at work...

However, after a week of use and finalizing settings in the app, I noticed discrepancies between my android app and the Windows App - I was informed by a friend that the Windows app does not always sync correctly. So, to resolve this issue, I planned to simply uninstall Fitbit from my desktop and re-download and install from the Windows Store....... 5 hours ago....

To my aggravation, the Fitbit app refuses to download. I have searched the vast resources of Google, trying every solution I could find from the wsreset.exe and other troubleshooters to even removing certain files that are recreated when the store launches.

I am at my wits end - without this Windows App, I cannot sync my Alta. My Android phone is not compatible (waiting to get a new phone in October).

I have removed my account, added it back, .. (Yes, I have tried turning it off and back on again, thank you. :D )

One thing I have noticed is : If I pause the download and click resume, it will download about 2 mb before freezing again - almost as if it just forgets that it should be downloading and is "paused" without actually being paused.

Any recommendations at this point are welcome.... This is beyond aggravating.
