hello I have upgraded to windows 10 and I keep getting an error message every time i launch the game.

'Access Denied. Please login with administrator privileges and try again'

I am not sure what to do. I am the administrator and this is the only game giving me that message

Hi Rahoul,

Thank you for posting in Community, I understand you concern and we will try to assist you in the best way we can.

As per your query, I am led to believe that you do not have admin right to the games in question. I would suggest that you enable admin privileges to both the games and check if you still receive the pop-up. Follow the steps below to do so:

1. Navigate to the folder where the setup file of the games are saved.

2. Right click on the folder, click on the Security tab and click on Edit.

3. This will open a new window, here click on the Full Control checkbox and then click on Add.

4. In the dialog box, Enter the objects name to select type Everyone and click on OK.

5. Then under Group and Username click Everyone then click on Apply and OK.

The problem is that the games in question employ the Safedisc DRM, which is incompatible with Windows 10 due to security issues.

My advice is to contact EA Support and request Origin copies of those titles (have your product keys ready) as those should work on Win 10 due to not using Safedisc.

A lot of old disk games are being rejected thanks to a problem with last September's security bulletin

Contact Origin and they may be able to move your game to the Origin client which does work fine
