How to transfer favorites and passwords to second profile

I am needing to transfer all of my bookmarks and passwords to second profile because default profile is set to my active directory login which doesn't allow syncing. My other profile is link to my office 365 account but has none of my bookmarks and passwords. Is there a way to transfer them?

Hi and thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. Please allow me to assist with your issue.

Assuming you are referring to legacy Edge, you may try to export your favourites into a file and import it in the new profile. See this article for the steps: https://www.intowindows.com/how-to-backup-or-ex...

You can try to use this utility to save your passwords: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/web_browser_passwo...
It doesn't allow you to import but you can reference them and save them into the new profile.

Please let me know if I can help you further!

Hi my name is Ross, I'm an independent advisor. I'd be happy to help with your issue.

I don’t believe there is a way to transfer the passwords at the movement, however you can export them to a file by clicking the ... button at the top right, setting, profiles, passwords then click the .. at the top of the saved password section for exporting.

For favourites click ..., favourites, manage favourites and then there is an option to export. To import it’s the same but click the import button.

Regards,
Ross

Install Google Chrome, import your passwords to Goggle Chrome, go back to Microsoft Edge, Import from Another Browser > Google Chrome. Hope this helps...

Have a Blessed Day...

To import your favorites in edge from a different profile that is on the same computer, click on the three dots at the top right of the edge browser page, then select settings in the list. On the settings page select profiles and on the right hand side select import browser data. Unselect all that you don't need and leave only what you want to import, and select import. You have to select Favorites and Bookmarks to import the favorites.

This doesn't work because there's no option to import from Edge Chromium, only Edge Legacy.

I'm hitting the same thing. The workaround I'm going with is to use the Microsoft Autofill password manager extension that is only available in the Chrome Web Store because the password manager is "built-in" to Edge. But as you've noticed, the problem with the built-in password manager is that it neither supports import, nor can you sync to an account different from your current profile. Both of these problems are solved with the extension - Microsoft Autofill - Chrome Web Store (google.com). In the extension you can go to Settings > Import passwords (from CSV).
