Hyperlink problem in slideshow

I created an image map with hyperlinks to relevant slides. When I set up the slideshow to 'browsed at a kiosk' the first link works with one click but all others need two clicks. How can I make each link only need a single click?

Do the hyperlinks open after single or double clicks when you're not in the presentation/slide show mode?

Meanwhile install all the latest updates and see if it makes any difference.

  1. Open any Office application such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook.
  2. On the Help menu, select Check for Updates.

Important  If you don't see Check for Updates on the Help menu, download the latest version of the Microsoft AutoUpdate tool from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3133674. Run the tool and then start over at step 1. The Check for Updates option now appears on the Help menu.

  3. Under How would you like to check for software updates? select Automatically.

(If you want to manually check for updates or you don't want AutoUpdate to appear automatically when new updates are available, under How would you like to check for software updates?, select Manually.)

  4. On the Check for updates pop-up menu, select the frequency that you want AutoUpdate to use to check for new updates.

  5. Click Check for Updates.

If an update is available for your version of Office, you will see a link to a website with more information about the update.

Thanks for replying but I'm not sure how to activate a hyperlink at all when not in a presentation or slideshow mode. Am I misunderstanding??

I'm fully up to date with updates.

The action buttons and action settings dialogue boxes only give a 'Mouse Click' or 'Mouse Over' option.

The TWO mouse clicks is baffling me.

Remove and re-add the hyperlink and see how it works. I couldn't repro this.
Also check if this happens on all the hyperlinks to slide or web.

Thanks for the advice to date.

I had to go down a different path to deliver the project I was working on in time.

Now I've returned to try and crack the issue for the future and I've discovered an even more infuriating wrinkle.

After a hyperlink has worked on a second click, a subsequent attempt to use it requires a third click, and the next attempt a fourth click and so on.

I've tried all the sensible suggestions above.

I will go back to the drawing board and begin a new presentation from scratch and see if the problem shows itself once more.

All I'm trying to do is put links into an archive photo which each link to a slide about the person clicked on.

Should be easy!!!
