Getting Error Code: 0x8007F004 when trying to install the following updates KB980302, KB909520, KB943729, KB926139, KB980302 and KB971513

I keep getting Error Code: 0x8007F004 when trying to install the following updates KB980302, KB909520, KB943729, KB926139, KB980302 and KB971513.  Have tried several times.  I have full admin rights not sure what is blocking these.  I have successfully applied other updates, I just cant get these to run

Hi,

1.     What is the Operating System installed on your computer?

2.     Do you get any specific error message along with the error code?

 

Follow these Knowledge Base Articles and check to see if they help.

 

For Windows XP:

If this does not resolve the issue try to reset the Windows Update components and install the updates. Follow this article for the same: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

 

You can put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to install these updates. To do this, check the following links.

 

For Windows XP:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

 

For Windows Vista and Windows 7:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

 

Note: Make sure you put the computer back to Normal Startup once troubleshooting is completed.
