Hi
I've seen this mentioned before on forums - my vertical scrollbar in IE and Word etc get stuck. I cannot lift the slider from the bottom of the bar.
Has anyone managed to get this resolved ?

Hi,
When was it last working fine?
Check if the issue persists in safe mode/safe mode with networking (Step 1). If the issue does not persist in safe mode/Safe mode with networking then, perform clean boot (Step 2) on your computer.
Step 1:
a. Restart the computer
b. Start tapping F8 key
c. You will get advanced boot option window
d. Select the option “Safe mode” or “Safe mode with networking”
Link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2:
Starting your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. This kind of startup is known as a "Clean boot."
Follow the steps provide in the below article to perform clean boot.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: To return your computer to a Normal startup mode, follow these steps:
a. Click Start in the Start Search box.
b. Type msconfig, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.
c. On the General tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then clickOK.
d. When you are prompted, click Restart.

Hi Guys - I think this is the same as my problem - "Vertical scrolling problem Windows 7" - can any nice friendly helpful Microsoft guys out there help with this? I am fully up-to-date with all my drivers, Windows, antivirus etc. (I run W7 SP1) and I still get it in safe mode on clean boot etc. I see similar posts on other forums, mostly jumping to bottom but some jump to top.
HP (my laptop vendor) want me to do a factory reset which means I lose all my data and programs (not nice), but I have to suspect that when I do that and then do a Windows update and apply all the windows updates it will revert and I will have wasted xxx hours of my time. UK Microsoft staff - I will visit you and buy you a drink of your choice if you get me a fix!
