Installing windows 7 error 0x80070570

I have an older computer i am trying install windows 7 on.  The computer meets all the system requirments however my windows xp has crashed so i have no operating system currently installed.  In the install process it gets to about 6% before it shows error 0x80070570.  I am trying to install the 32 bit windows 7 upgrade.  I know the disk works because i have just installed it on another computer ( have the 3 comp family pack upgrade disk )..  Is it possable that my harddrive might have a bad spot in it?  I tried installing it in two diffrent dvd drive bays.  Maybe both lenses are dirty?  any suggestions???

THERE IS NO CURRENT RUNNING OPERATING SYSTEM RUNNING ON THE COMPUTER

IT IS A BOUGHT DVD DISK FOR THE UPGRADE NOT A DOWNLOAD.  THE DISC HAS WORKED ON TWO OTHER COMPUTERS ONE BEFORE THE ATTEMPT AND ONE AFTER.. SO THE DVD IS WORKING THAT CONTAINS WINDOWS 7 UPGRADE THERE ARE NO SCRATCHES ON THE DISK!!!

I noticed everytime i try reinstalling i got to diffrent places in the install.. after 10 times it finally installed correctly problem soved

This issue is caused by either Bad Media (bad burn, scratches on the DVD, etc) or potentially DVD read issues during install.

We've seen success with copying the DVD to USB and creating a bootable USB drive, and sometimes with installing from Hard Disk instead of booting from the DVD.

Also, if you have downloaded the ISO from Digital River or Microsoft Store, try re-downloading and reburning the ISO and trying again.

This is usually media read issue.
